Bring With You
- Check or cash to pay any balance due, including shells and/or tips. No credit cards
accepted.
- Your original passport or birth certificate and drivers license.
- Prescription Medications in Original Pharmacy Containers.
- Sunscreen, sunglasses, insect repellant and lip balm.
- Shell bag or lightweight game vest, bathing suit and/or sandals.
- Bottle Opener (trust me on this one) Coronita's are not twist off caps.
- Small Change (for 2 Bird Boys) usually $10 per bird boy, per hunt.
- Lightweight hunting apparel, such as shorts and camo t-shirt.
- If bringing your own shotguns, 100 shotgun shells per gun only, you are allowed
2 guns.
- No shotgun shells allowed if you are renting HSJ guns (Federal Law).
- Shooting glasses and ear plugs.
- Lightweight shooting glove for your loading hand (Benelli's are brutal on thumbs).
- Lightweight rainsuit or parka.
- Shampoo and wash rags.
- Specialty hard liquor, wines, mixers and cigars if you want them.
- House liquor such as Jack Daniels, J&B Scotch, and Crown Royal provided N/C by HSJ.
- (HSJ will have available: canvas type, fold-up, airline approved ice chest to transport
your birds back home for a nominal charge.)
Bringing your own guns into Mexico is not recommended, since you are subject to
Military inspection’s which may take excessive time out of our control.
Hard Gun Cases are usually required by the major airlines. Please check with your
appropriate air carrier prior to your departure for their specific requirements.
Soft Gun Cases only are allowed on the private plane departing Harlingen
to the camp. So bring with you, soft gun cases if you fly commercial. Secure storage
facilities are available, free of charge at the Hangar for your hard case storage,
while you are in Mexico. Soft Guns cases are recommended for all charter flights
departing directly to the ranch.
Please Do Not Bring
- Hunting Stools, Buckets, Ice Chest or any illegal drugs of any kind.
- Snake boots are not recommended.
